Are you still updating or planning to update Goat Simulator 1?
– No. Only the mobile version of Goat Simulator 1 is getting updates.
I have a question, how do I get an answer?

I have a problem with the game, where can I find help?

Coffee Stain
What’s the deal with all the “Coffee Stain” game devs?
– Coffee Stain North is located in Stockholm. We were previously called “Gone North Games” before Coffee Stain Studios acquired us. We released a game called “A Story About My Uncle” and later on worked on some of the DLCs for Goat Simulator. Now we handle all Goat Simulator-related stuff (except for the mobile version).
-- Coffee Stain Publishing is also located in Stockholm. They help other devs with publishing. Like Valheim (developed by Iron Gate), Deep Rock Galactic (developed by Ghost Ship Games), etc.
-- Coffee Stain Studios is located in Skövde and made the base Goat Simulator game. Now they’re working on Satisfactory. If you have any questions about Satisfactory, contact them, not us.
Even though we work on independent projects, we sometimes help each other with stuff.
Goat Simulator 3
Are you serious about this?
– Have we ever been unserious about anything?
What platforms are you on?
PC: Epic Games Store, MS Store, and Steam
Consoles: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4/PS5, and Nintendo Switch
Mobile: Android and iOS
Does it have multiplayer?
– Yes, for up to four goats on PC/consoles.
NOTE: PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and GS3 mobile have 2-player online multiplayer** instead of 4-player.
Does it have mod support?
– Right now our focus is on the main game, but some kind of mod or creative modes might be looked into in the future.
Is Goat Sim 3 available on mobile?
– Yes!! We released a mobile port for Goat Simulator 3 on December 5, 2023, on both Android and iOS. Multiverse of Nonsense is coming to mobile on June 23, 2025.
What happened to the new gears from the Gear Competition you held?
– They are in the game and were released on Nov 25, 2024.
Why are so secretive about release dates and new content for Goat Simulator 3?
– It’s because we don’t wanna crunch, overpromise, and then underdeliver or disappoint you guys. So we try to keep our deadlines as internal as possible so we can tweak things, move things around, and deliver something that we’re really proud of.
Will there be a mod workshop on Steam for GS3?
– Unfortunately no. We don’t have this in our pipeline for the moment. But you never know!
Does GS3 work on the Steam Deck?
– Oui, it’s even verified.
Will there be trading cards on Steam for GS3?
– Yes!
Will Goat Simulator 3 have all of the downloadable content from Goat Simulator 1 eventually?
– No plans for this right now. We’re focusing on new goat experiences atm with the upcoming DLC. Just trying to do new things with the Goat Simulator world.
On which platforms can you crossplay?
Steam + Epic Games = crossplay
iOS + Android = crossplay
Xbox X/S + Microsoft Store = crossplay
Xbox One or Xbox X/S + PS4 or PS5 + Nintendo Switch = NO crossplay
PS5 + PS4 = NO crossplay
Xbox Series X/S + Xbox One = NO crossplay
I’ve played GS3 on Epic, can I sync my progress on Steam?
– Save files are stored on your PC whenever you play Goat Simulator 3 via the Epic Games Store or on Steam. The save file location is shared between these two versions. Because save files are shared between the two versions of the game you do not need to move any save files if you change which version you are playing on. You should just be able to pick up where you left off.
However, we recommend that users stick to one version of the game on a given device and do not move back and forth between the two too much. Both the Epic Games Store and Steam support syncing save files via their “cloud save” functionality and so the interplay between these systems can lead to the loss of game progress – If you move back and forth a lot between the two versions of the game.
Are you planning to do more crossovers with other games/developers in the future?
– Nothing planned. But we had a lot of fun with the CATAN crossover, so we’re open to doing more crossovers in the future!
I don’t have a disc reader on my PC, will I still be able to play Goat Simulator 3 if I order the Goat In A Box Edition?
– There’ll be a flyer with the Epic key as well. You don’t have to use the disc to install it.
Why is it called “Goat Simulator 3”? Why not “Goat Simulator 2”?
– It was a typo.
Bonus question!
Didn’t you announce a Goat Simulator musical?
– That wasn’t me, that was Patricia.
Goat Simulator: Remastered
When was it released?
– November 7, 2024
What platforms is it on?
– Xbox X/S, PlayStation 5, Steam, Epic and Windows Store
Does the remaster have multiplayer?
– Goat Simulator: Remastered will have a 4-player local split-screen, but no online multiplayer
Will more mobile DLC be released in Goat Simulator: Remastered in the future?

Nintendo Switch 2
How do I transfer my Goat Simulator 3 saves from Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2*
*The ‘save transfer’ option in the game only works if you already have the save files from the GS3 Nintendo Switch version on your Nintendo Switch 2.
- Have the Nintendo Switch version of the game installed on your Nintendo Switch 2 console with all your save data.
- Launch the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game
- On the Title Screen, go to Settings → General
- Find the ‘Nintendo Switch save files’ section and press ‘Transfer’
- In the ‘Transfer Progress from Nintendo Switch version’ pop-up, select and hold the ‘Transfer’ button. Warning: This action is irreversible. All your new San Angora saves made on Nintendo Switch 2 will be replaced with your saves from the Nintendo Switch version of the game, and all save data from the DLCs (Multiverse of Nonsense, Baadlands: Furry Road) will be deleted.
- If the transfer is successful, you will see the message ‘Nintendo Switch Progress Transferred!’
Is there an upgrade path if I have the Nintendo Switch version and want to get it on Nintendo Switch 2?
– Those who have purchased the Nintendo Switch version of Goat Simulator 3 on the Nintendo eShop can purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 version of GS3 at a discounted price (70% off).
So if you bought the NSW1 version of GS3 from the eShop, you should get a 70% off discount on the base game on NSW2.
I bought the Nintendo Switch version, but the DLCs don’t work. Why?
– The DLCs are only available on Nintendo Switch 2. They are not compatible with Nintendo Switch. If you accidentally bought the Nintendo Switch version, please contact Nintendo to get a refund.
How many FPS does the game have on Nintendo Switch 2?
–It’s running at 1920x1080, and in handheld mode at 30 FPS. In docked mode, it runs around 45-60 FPS depending on the area you are in.
If high FPS is important for you, please consider playing the game in docked mode.
