Welcome to our FAQ. Please read this thread before asking a question. We try to keep it updated!
General
Q: Are you still updating or planning to update Goat Simulator 1?
A: No. Only the mobile version of Goat Simulator 1 at the moment. FYI: We at Coffee Stain North have nothing to do with the mobile version of Goat Simulator. If you’re experiencing any issues on mobile, you can send a message to this Email: android-contact@coffeestainstudios.com
Q: I have a question, how do I get an answer?
A: The best way is to tweet @ us on Twitter, either CoffeeStainNrth or GoatSimulator, or ask us here on our forums.
Q: I have a problem with the game, where can I find help?
A: Our Website is the best place. And if you don’t find the answer there, reach out by posting a thread.
Q: I have a game-breaking bug or problem with the game, where can I report it?
A: Please fill out our support form. Thank you!
Coffee Stain
Q: What’s the deal with all the “Coffee Stain” game devs?
A: Coffee Stain North is located in Stockholm. We were previously called “Gone North Games” before Coffee Stain Studios acquired us. We released a game called “A Story About My Uncle” and later on worked on some of the DLCs for Goat Simulator. Now we handle all Goat Simulator-related stuff (except for the mobile version).
Coffee Stain Publishing is also located in Stockholm. They help other devs with publishing. Like Valheim (developed by Iron Gate), Deep Rock Galactic (developed by Ghost Ship Games), etc.
Coffee Stain Studios is located in Skövde and made the base Goat Simulator game. Now they’re working on Satisfactory. If you have any questions about Satisfactory, contact them, not us.
Even though we work on independent projects, we sometimes help each other with stuff.
Goat Simulator 3
Q: Are you serious about this?
A: Have we ever been unserious about anything?
Q: When is the release date?
A: November 17th, 2022.
Q: What platforms are you on?
A: PC (exclusively on the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Q: Will it come to PS4/Xbox One/Switch/Steam too?
A: For now, the game will be released on the platforms mentioned above. But we’re considering future options as well!
Q: Will the game support cross-play?
A: Only in spirit. Might come in the future tho, but no promises.
Q: Will it have multiplayer?
A: Yass, for up to four goats.
Q: Will it have mod support?
A: Right now our focus is on the main game, but some kind of mod or creative modes might be looked into in the future.
Q: Will Goat Sim 3 come to mobile?
A: We’re considering it, but for now it will be released on the platforms mentioned above.
Q: How much will it cost?
A: That will be announced soon.
Q: I’m in the US, where can I order the Goat In A Box Edition?
A: Try amazon.de. They support worldwide shipping. IMPORTANT: PS5 codes are region locked, so if you’re located in the US for example, and order from that site, you can’t activate the codes.
Q: I don’t have a disc reader on my PC, will I still be able to play Goat Simulator 3 if I order the Goat In A Box Edition?
A: There’ll be a flyer with the Epic key as well. You don’t have to use the disc to install it.
Q: Why is it called “Goat Simulator 3”? Why not “Goat Simulator 2”?
A: It was a typo.
Bonus question!
Q: Didn’t you announce a Goat Simulator musical?
A: That wasn’t me, that was Patricia.
