Im so confused

I have the switch 1 version of goat simulator 3 on my switch 2 and with the announcement of a switch 2 version I’m wondering if my progress on my switch 1 version be put on the switch 2 version and they are on the same console not 1 on switch 2 and another on switch 1. I looked it up and some sites say yes but others don’t I’m so confused
