There will be online multiplayer, so if there’s an option to join a random lobby instead of invite only, etc. this will be possible.

I hope it will be. I think matchmaking for the minigames (Hoofball, King of the Hill, etc.) would be really cool.

I completely agree. I doubt this would happen, but if they added voice chat it would be hilarious!
